FLAGSHIP

There's something about youth and the bright flame of music that comes out of it. But there's also something about what happens when that flame has dragged itself across multiple timezones, cities, and years only to return home to find that the fire still burns as hot as it ever did. That's the story of Flagship, the project of singer-songwriter Drake Margolnick who partnered with friends in the small but vibrant music scene in Charlotte, North Carolina to take their widescreen music across the U.S. and beyond. A decade later and Drake and the small community of members known as Flagship find their home in Charlotte again, ready to set stages on fire again across the world. Drake has set aside has solo project “Margolnick," and has returned back to "Flagship" full time. He is also changing his Facebook page from “Margolnick" back to “Flagship."

Flagship has toured nationwide 10+ times with multiple tours in Europe and Canada. They've toured with metric, The Wombats, Blue October etc..and sharing the stage with Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys, Cake, The Shins, Future Islands, Weezer, and many more. Additionally, Flagship has been a festival favorite, having played Bottlerock, Shaky Knees, Forecastle, and SXSW, among others. Flagship appeared on JBTV (Chicago) America's longest running music television program dedicated to introducing the world to new artists for 34 years. Flagship and Drake Margolnick have made albums and/or ep's with known producers such as Ben H. Allen, Joe Chiccarelli, and Joey Waronker.
