Bright Antenna believes a great song can save a life and that music can change the world. We are passionate about our artists, and we believe that music is a necessity, not a pastime. To date, those following us on Twitter have been and will continue to be the first to learn about new Bright Antenna releases, artist and tour news, the highs and lows of life at a small indie label, quotes of the day, and other random music trivia and happenings.

We’re also using Twitter-land to give away free music the first Tuesday of each month. Yep, in each round an @brightantenna follower will be chosen at random to have their pick from the Bright Antenna catalog (listed below) and a Bright Antenna t-shirt. All you have to do is:

1. be following @brightantenna by 11:59 PM PST Tuesday night.

Jeff Buckley: Grace Around the World–SF Screening

We will be showing Jeff Buckley: Grace Around the World on the big screen for one showing only on June 11, 2009. It features 9 unreleased performances from around the world by the late, great Jeff Buckley. The screening will be preceded by a meet and greet with wine and apps. A Q&A with Jeff’s mom will follow.

The event will be a fundraiser for the Valentino Achak Deng Foundation. Dave Eggers wrote about Valentino in his latest book What is the What. A small live auction will feature a signed copy of What is the What, a football autographed by Steve Young and Jerry Rice, a Jeff Buckley pack and the Bright Antenna music catalog.

This event will most likely sell out so GET TICKETS now.

Opera Plaza Cinema is located at 601 Van Ness Ave.
